For the past 20 years, we've been providing expert therapy to the Michigan community, both in-office and through our Michigan virtual therapy group. We assist adolescents, their parents, and adults in Ann Arbor with healing through our family therapy Ann Arbor services and help them regain their lives. As experienced Ann Arbor therapists and DBT therapists in Ann Arbor, we are dedicated to supporting our clients' journeys.

Our initial appointment will focus on learning more about your journey, where you or your family could use the most assistance, and understanding your goals for treatment. We may also discuss options for the type of treatment that would be most appropriate for your diagnosis or supportive agencies that can assist with your needs.

We work together as a team to create a plan that addresses what you / your family needs, education, along with ensuring you are ready to dive deep to address the patterns or difficulties that may have you where you are today. We want to truly understand what you need and what will help you to find peace in the future. This is called the "Pre-treatment" phase that includes orientation to DBT and our comprehensive program.

Our individual therapy sessions are focused on skill building to help you address the behaviors that continue to cause distress or emotional dysregulation in your life. We tailor our approach to each client, but the framework is based upon the evidence-based DBT model. The goal is to address challenges related to Depressive Disorders, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, BPD and other mood disorders in a compassionate and open environment in our center or online. Sessions are tailored to each individual's needs.

We provide group programs for adolescents, parents and adults that are tailored towards learning new skills with others and learning how to build trusting relationships. Groups are typically 90 minutes long, offered in-person and online, at a variety of days/times to fit your schedule.

Parents can also attend educational and skill development groups that will help to empower families to strengthen their relationship and make good decisions together. Family members will learn the importance of role modeling the skills learned to help their loved one be successful with their new practices around mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
